Recipes for Bubble-Mania - Make your own bubbles with these recipes. (Recipes from creativekidsathome.com)
  • Basic Bubbles: Mix two tablespoons of dish soap with one cup of water. Ultra Dawn detergent seems to work best.
  • Magic Bubbles: To create larger bubbles, mix one tablespoon of glycerin with two tablespoons of dish soap. Add nine ounces of water.
  • Color Bubbles: Add one cup of liquid tempera paint to two tablespoons of dish detergent. Mix in one tablespoon of liquid starch. Be sure to use paints that easily wash out of clothes.

Looking for a Fun Family Activity?  Have An Indoor Picnic - Grab a sheet, whatever food you have, and enjoy a living room picnic (without the ants). You can even play that memory game at the same time: “I’m going to a picnic and I’m bringing…” Each person takes turns remembering (in order) what everyone is bringing and then adds one thing each turn.
Watch the beluga whales at the Georgia Aquarium - There’s a beluga whale webcam set up at the Georgia Aquarium, so you can see what your whale friends are up to at any time! georgiaaquarium.org/webcam/beluga-whale-webcam/
Activity 1:  Have your child pick their favorite topic and then spend 20-30 minutes researching it, talking about it, etc.  Then let them tell you if they have learned something new about their favorite topic?
Activity 2:  Go through any old mail, magazines, or newspapers laying around and let your child help you tear them up or cut them up.  (This is great fine motor skills practice for them!)

With the cancellation of play dates, birthday parties, and sleep overs, your household calendar is likely wide open—this is a great time to do the following as a family:
  •  Play card and board games
  • Make art or do crafts together
  • Cook and bake together—talk about math as you prepare the recipe
  • Change family picture frames and revisit memories as you change photos
  • Sing, play piano or other instruments
  • Write letters or make cards for a local senior center.
  • It’s a perfect time to choreograph and film TikToks.
